Saya Dakpo, Bhutan’s version of ‘Who wants to be a Millionaire’ was launched in Thimphu yesterday.

Bhutan’s first-ever quiz reality show is hosted on Samuh OTT platform in collaboration with Bhutan National Bank Limited (BNBL). Interested participants have to register through the mPay app of BNBL. While registering, the participants must pay a fee of Nu 100.

The game will host 100 shortlisted participants over a period of three months, consisting of 24 episodes.

During the broadcast of the show, the audience watching from home can also participate in the quizzes. The purpose of this is to keep the audience entertained and inclusive of the show, according to the organisers.

Through the mPay app, Bhutanese living abroad can also participate in the audience quizzes. Audience members can also win a cash prize of Nu 20,000 weekly.

The show is designed to test the knowledge and luck of contestants. It includes eight levels of 15 questions, with a grand prize of Nu 1M. Participants must be above the age of 18 to register.

Registration for the show started on March 3 and will be open till the end of March. With the prerecording conducted in the months of April and May, the show is expected to be aired by June.
