Six people were killed on the spot after a bolero pick up truck veered off the road and plunged about 250 feet into the Gangrichu in Kangpara this morning.

The accident took place about eight kilometers from the gewog centre. They were heading towards Lamyong cremation ground in Kangapara.

While five of the deceased were adults, (three female, three male), one was a 15 years old girl who was studying in class eight at Kangpara Lower Secondary School.  Although five bodies were recovered, police, DeSsups and locals are still looking for the body of a passenger.

Sources said the incident was reported to gewog around 6:30 am who reported it to the police.
