Two German tourists entering Phuentsholing from Sikkim are kept under observation for Coronavirus (COVID-19) at the Phuentsholing hospital after one had recorded fever when checked at the border second gate. The blood samples will be sent to the national referral hospital, Thimphu.

The driver and the guide, both Indians, are also under observation. Also under observation are the Bhutanese driver and guide who came in touch with the tourists.
