Weather: Strong gusty wind of around 30 meter per second over the northern and northwest parts of Bhutan has been forecasted in the next 72 hours.

Localized clouds and the westerly wind, meteorology division officials said, is causing the gusty wind.

The meteorology division has also forecast light rain and snow yesterday in the western and central Bhutan. Officials said that the weather outlook would improve with partly cloudy from today. Day temperature is expected to rise by three to four degree celsius during next 48 hours or by Saturday.

Gasa and Trongsa and higher passes of Thimphu received snowfall yesterday. The roadblock at Pelela and Dochula was cleared for traffic by yesterday evening. Police have warned drivers to be cautious and to travel only if really necessary.
