The people of Tangsibji were overjoyed to welcome His Royal Highness The Gyalsey for the first time to the paternal home of Her Majesty The Gyaltsuen, and to receive His Majesty The King and His Majesty The Fourth Druk Gyalpo, yesterday.

Tangsibji is the ancestral home of Yab Dhondup Gyaltshen, Her Majesty The Gyaltsuen’s father.

The people from the village and nearby areas also had the opportunity to offer Khadar in celebration of the Royal Birth.

“I am content now that we have had the opportunity to welcome Gyalsey and to offer our wishes. I had been waiting for this day ever since I heard of the Royal Birth,” said Phub Gyem, an octogenarian who lives in the next house.

The people presented traditional songs and dances to celebrate the occasion. His Majesty The King granted tokha to the people.
