BoB League:  Thimphu City FC scored an early goal and hung on to it to beat Phuentsholing’s Bhutan Clearing FC in the fifth game of the Bank of Bhutan National League at the CST ground, yesterday.

The only goal of the match came in the 23rd minute. Midfielder Orgyen Wangchuk Tshering, 16, scored the lone goal to give his team their first victory in the tournament.

With the victory, City now jumps into the second position in the table with four points.

The three clubs from Thimphu are currently leading the table. With two wins from two games, Thimphu FC tops the table with six points. The winner of the A-league, FC Terton is third with two points from two games.

Ugyen Academy FC of Punakha is fourth following a 1-1 draw against Terton on Sunday. After one game each, debutant Paro United FC and Bhutan Clearing FC are at the bottom of the table.
