BoB League: With just three more games left before the month-long break, Thimphu FC and Thimphu City FC with 10 points each has taken the lead in the ongoing Bank of Bhutan National League.

The two teams played five games each. However, city sits in second place because it lost to Thimphu FC earlier this month.

Winners of the A-division, FC Terton, is in the third with nine points. Ugyen Academy FC of Punakha and Bhutan Clearing FC from Phuntsholing are in the fourth and fifth positions respectively.

Debutant Paro United FC is at the bottom of the table without a single win.

The month-long break will start from August 9 for the upcoming AFC Cup qualifiers where Bhutan will host Group-A Mongolia and Pakistan.

Druk United FC will represent Bhutan. K-Electric FC from Pakistan and Mongolia’s Khoromkhon FC will compete in the three-day qualifiers at the Changlimithang Stadium.

The first match will see host Druk United take on K-Electric FC on August 11.

In Group-B FC Alga of Kyrgyzstan will host Bangladesh’s Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi club limited and Casa Benfica of Macau at Bishkek in Kyrgyzstan.

A total of six clubs will compete in the qualifiers to take part in the 2016 AFC Cup.
