By the end of the second week after the launch of the third phase of the Druk Gyalpo’s Relief Kidu (DGRK) on April 22, 2021, a total of 23,671 people have applied for the Monthly Income Support and 18,444 registered for the Loan Interest Payment Support.

Among those who have applied for income support, dzongkhag-wise, the largest number are from Samtse and the smallest number from Gasa. Most of the applicants live and work in Thimphu, 9,847 working in the tourism industry and another 1,353 in restaurants and food services. Nearly all of them have received kidu in the first and second phases of DGRK.

Among those who have applied for Loan Interest Support, 373 are business companies and 18,071 have personal loans or are sole proprietors of businesses. In total, this group has registered 9,204 loan accounts, 9,073 individual accounts and 131 business accounts.
