Theft: Three Boleros, two with Bhutan’s registration numbers and the third with an Indian number, went missing from the core area in Phuentsholing town on July 12 morning.

Police are currently investigating the case. All vehicles were lifted from places close in the lower market in the town. One of the vehicles was stolen from the taxi parking, while another was taken from the area near Sinchula Hotel. The third went missing from the Deki Lane area.

The theft was reported to police in the morning and sources said the police team even went to Totapara, a small Indian town near Madarihaat.

Police officials said their counterparts in Jaigaon, Hasimara, and Madarihaat have been concurrently informed.

Officials also hint that it becomes difficult for them to locate if the vehicles were already taken from the main gate and Jaigaon. The miscreants change the vehicle numbers.

This is not the first case of vehicles getting lifted from Phuentsholing town. Three cases have already been registered with the police but the vehicles are yet to be found.

All vehicles are Boleros.

Police officials said Boleros are prone to get stolen because the car can be opened and started with keys of another Bolero. Officials also said that vehicle owners, especially Bolero owners, must be extra careful in Phuentsholing.
