Trashigang dzongdag, who was on his way to Paro, escaped with minor injuries after his car met with an accident at Kurizampa in Mongar on April 18.

The 2021 December model Toyota Fortuner the dzongdag and his wife were travelling in toppled on the road about a kilometre before reaching Kurizampa from Mongar at around 4pm.

While the driver escaped unhurt, the dzongdag and his wife, who suffered minor injuries, were initially admitted to Gyalpoizhing hospital and then referred to Mongar regional referral hospital. They were discharged the next day.

The cause of the accident is not known.
