Postal ballot facilitation booths in Trongsa saw a voter turnout of 83.6 percent.

A total of 2,803 voters, 1,341 male and 1,462 female cast their ballots in the three postal ballot facilitation booths (FB) over the last three days.

Trongsa saw a good number of female voters turning up to cast their ballots than male.

The facilitation booth at the College of Language and Culture Studies saw 1,330 voters, 594 male and 736 female. This polling station has 726 male and 872 female registered postal voters.

A total of 1,021 voters, 496 male and 525 female cast their ballots at the Sherabling CS. The booths were operated for the first two days at Sherabling SC and yesterday the booth shifted to Tangsibji gewog centre.

Sherabling CS has 1,226 FB registered voters.

Of the 527 voters registered at Langthel LSS FB, 452 voters turned up, 251 males and 201 female.

A total of 3,351 voters registered for the three FB in Trongsa of which 1,731 are female and 1,620 male.

Over the three days, 12 open-air prisoners in Rephelmendrel also cast their vote through conventional postal ballot facilitated by ECB through the returning officer. All voters are male.

Including postal voters, Trongsa has 10,250 eligible voters.

The returning officer said they will conduct an election refresher course for all polling officials on October 14 and 15 and would be deployed to the respective polling stations on October 16.
