The top two Japan Table Tennis League teams, Citizen and Kyowa will be in the country from January 29 to February 3 as part of the long-time friendship and collaboration between Bhutan and Japan in table tennis. The visit is expected to boost competitiveness and inclusiveness of the sport.

The delegation will attend the finals of Bhutan National Table Tennis Championship; hold exhibition matches with Bhutan and India (Siliguri) in Phuentsholing and coach national team players and youth.

A press release from the Bhutan Table Tennis Association states that the teams will also visit Draktsho School and conduct TT clinic for people with disabilities, hold Bhutan-Japan friendship games and exhibitions to mark the opening of BTTF Table Tennis Hall and donate table tennis equipment among others.
