The ban on plastic carry bags, doma wrappers and ice cream pouches that was reinforced on April 1, two decades after it was first introduced, has not been received well by the public.

Three months after the ban reinforcement, grocery stores, vegetable sellers and roadside vendors continue to use plastic carry bags in the open. Loose implementation and vague substitutes for the banned items have turned the ban into ridicule.
