Global populations of fish, birds, and mammals, amphibians and reptiles have fallen on average by 60 percent in less than 50 years (between 1970 and 2014), the2018 Living Planet report had stated.

To encourage students to advocate 10 simple sustainable actions in their schools and communities to bend the curve on the trends highlighted in the report, WWF Bhutan has invited schools across the country to participate in the Bend the Curve Challenge.
