A group of graduates in Mongar plans to encourage the community to improve farming practices and contribute to reducing import of food products through their recently started food processing plant, Nutri Foods.

Since the food-processing unit started producing confectionery products like cookies, and candies from locally purchased rice, maize, wheat, millet, and royal quinoa flour, the group could replace imported food products during dzongkhag official meetings.
