After a truck driver tested positive at Sorchen after returning from Trongsa, the dzongkhag task force alerted the general public to stay calm.

The dzongkhag’s Covid-19 task force has cordoned off the building in the town for whom the driver was working.

The driver tested positive on February 26 at Sorchen. He tested negative on antigen test on February 19 and he left Trongsa on 24th.

The task force has traced 33 primary contacts of the driver from eight different locations in Trongsa.

The samples were sent to Thimphu for the RT-PCR test.

The task force and the surveillance team carried out antigen tests of all close contacts of the driver yesterday evening and all came negative.

The result of the RT- PCR is expected to come today.
