To commemorate the birth anniversary of Guru Rinpoche, who brought tantric Buddhism to Bhutan, the Zhung Dratshang is conducting a three-day Guru Thoethreng Rig-ngai Sungchoe at the Jigme Dorji Wangchuck National Memorial Choeten.
