Among the participating nations, Bhutan is making headlines by sending its highest number of participants to this year’s Asian Games (AG).

With a team of 28 athletes representing 10 sports, Bhutan will make its mark in boxing, judo, karate, archery, taekwondo, shooting, swimming, badminton, athletics, and golf.

Accompanying the athletes will be 11 team officials who will provide essential support throughout the games.

The 19th AG Hangzhou 2022’s organising committee has confirmed the readiness of all 56 competition venues, assuring they are fully operational and primed for the grand event.

In line with the competitive spirit, the team draw was conducted under the watchful eye of the Olympic Council of Asia, involving representatives from Asian Football Confederation, Asian Volleyball Confederation, Asian Sepaktakraw Federation, and Asian Handball Federation.

The detailed schedules have been meticulously arranged, setting the stage for a thrilling showcase of athletic prowess.

Preparations for athlete welfare are also in top gear, with a well-equipped AG Village catering to their needs in terms of food, lodging, and transportation.

The storage facility for food ingredients was activated on July 20, and the Smart Meal Ordering System is now operational for the test events, ensuring athletes are fueled for peak performance.

The Main Media Centre (MMC), serving as the hub for all media professionals, has completed its operational infrastructure, with the final preparations scheduled for completion by August 15.

A series of events, including an open day for the public on August 24 and a media tour day on September 5, will offer an exclusive glimpse into the heart of the Games.

With all systems go, the teams will undergo rigorous practice drills and debugging sessions to ensure seamless operations and a thrilling sporting spectacle.

On September 18, the MMC will officially commence operations, bringing together media professionals from across the continent to capture the exhilarating moments of the 19th AG.
