Ambassador Tshoki Choden presented her Letters of Credence to His Royal Highness Grand Duke Henri of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg on February 8, accrediting her as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Bhutan to the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg.

After the presentation ceremony, Ambassador Tshoki Choden was granted an audience by His Royal Highness The Grand Duke where he congratulated Ambassador Choden on her appointment as the first Ambassador of Bhutan to Luxembourg and wished her success in her duties and in strengthening the friendship and cooperation between the two countries, a press release from the foreign ministry stated.

Ambassador Tshoki Choden conveyed the warm greetings of His Majesty The King, Her Majesty The Gyaltsuen and His Majesty the Fourth Druk Gyalpo to Their Royal Highnesses The Grand Duke and Duchess of Luxembourg.

Ambassador Tshoki Choden expressed the deep appreciation of the Royal Government of Bhutan for the support that Bhutan continues to receive from the European Union, of which Luxembourg is a founding member. She also conveyed the desire of the Royal Government to advance bilateral relations and cooperation with Luxembourg.

Ambassador Tshoki Choden is the first Ambassador of Bhutan to the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, with residence in Brussels, Belgium. Diplomatic relations between Bhutan and Luxembourg were established on December 1, 2011.
