Crime: A choeten in Wampakha, Phangyul, Wangdue was vandalised on September 24.

The incident is suspected to have occurred during the daytime. Villagers informed the police. The choeten is located below the village.

Vandals had tried to break into the choeten in 2015 but because the choeten had was double walled it could not be broken into.

Wangdue police are still investigating the case.
