Construction of a captive breeding centre to conserve WBH underway

The Royal Society for Protection of Nature (RSPN), in an effort to conserve the habitat of White-Bellied-Heron (WBH) and to increase the species number, is constructing a captive breeding centre at Changchey in Tsirang.

The construction, which began in April last year, is expected to complete by the end of this year so that breeding and research activities could be initiated by 2020.
