The Namgang Kora and Dakpa Kora were two popular annual events in Trashiyangtse in the past.

The two events, which are held on the 15th and 30th day of the first Bhutanese month, not only attracted people from Trashiyangtse and the nearby dzongkhags but also people from the neighbouring state of Arunachal Pradesh in India in the past.
