Druk Nyamrup Tshogpa (DNT) declared Dorji Phuntsho as their candidate from Lhamoizingkha-Tashiding, Dagana to contest in the fourth National Assembly elections.

Dorji Phuntsho, 33, holds a Bachelor of Arts in Language and Literature.

He has served as the assistant research officer for the National Assembly Secretariat for five years and as a national contract teacher for a year.

Dorji Phuntsho will replace the incumbent Member of Parliament, Hemant Gurung. The MP will not re-contest owing to his age.

With this, the party has declared 16 candidates so far to contest in the upcoming elections.
