Sangay Lhamo

Druk Nyamrup Tshogpa, yesterday, declared Namgay Wangmo as the new candidate for Bumdelling-Jamkhar constituency for the upcoming National Assembly elections. 

Namgay Wangmo, 34, graduated in 2016 with a degree in Bachelor of Arts from Sherubtse College. She also pursued Diploma in Photojournalism and Graphics Design, a course provided by Bhutan Institute of Media in collaboration with Bhutan Media Foundation and Thomson Reuters Foundation. 

She had also volunteered as a tutor for Kanglung Primary School during her college days. She then taught at Dr Tobgyel School for three years.

In 2013, she served as a Marketing Executive for Woezer Events and also as a General Manager for Bhutanbuy.com in 2017. She operated confectionary business units as a trained professional in Culinary Arts. 

A mother of two, Namgay Wangmo is from Wogkhar village in Tongzhang Gewog.
