Dechen Dolkar
Druk Phuensum Tshogpa (DPT) has declared three candidates from constituencies in Trashigang, Sarpang, and Tsirang to contest the fourth National Assembly elections later this year.
The party has declared Ugyen Dorji, 33, to represent the Thrimshing constituency in Trashigang. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering and a Master’s degree in environmental engineering. He has been working as an engineer for a private construction company and is a researcher in environmental studies. He contested the National Council elections in 2018.
Dechen Lhadon, 43, will represent the Gelephu constituency in Sarpang. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. She has also contested the 2023 National Council elections.
Prior to joining politics, she managed the Human Resource and Administration Division of the Natural Resource and Development Corporation Limited (NRDCL). She also worked for the company’s customer and marketing division. Currently, she is running a hotel in Gelephu.
The party has also declared Sarvajit Rai, 43, to represent the Sergithang-Tsirangtoed constituency in Tsirang. He holds a Master of Business Administration, a Bachelor, and Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
He has 23 years of experience in diverse areas, including lecturing, planning, project management, and consulting as a civil servant.
Before joining politics, he served as the head of the development control division of the Thimphu Thromde. He has also contested the 2023 National Council elections.
With this, the party has declared 11 candidates to contest the upcoming elections.
