Druk Phuensum Tshogpa (DPT) declared its candidates for constituencies in Dagana and Gasa to contest in the fourth National Assembly elections.

The party declared Krishna Bdr Tamang as its candidate for the Lhamoidzingkha-Tashiding constituency in Dagana.

The 52-year-old holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Calcutta University. He completed his Bachelor’s degree in Arts from Sherubtse College.

He has more than 19 years of work experience in Penden Cement Authority Limited (PCAL), Army Welfare Project (AWP), and other private companies.

He contested in the 2008 National Council elections and also ran for the National Assembly seat from Bhutan Kuen-Nyam Party in 2013.

He is from Lungsilsa village under Lhamoidzhingkha gewog, Dagana.

Sonam Chezom, 33, will represent Khamaed-Lunana constituency in Gasa.

She has a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce from Gedu College of Business Studies with a specialisation in accounting.

She worked for Tashi InfoComm Limited as the Inventory Officer for about seven years. Prior to that, she had worked in a few private firms as an accountant.

Sonam Chezom is from Khailo village under Khamaed gewog, Gasa, and she is a mother of two children.

With this, the party has declared 25 candidates so far to contest for upcoming elections.
