Druk Phuensum Tshogpa (DPT) declared its candidates for constituencies in Trongsa and Wangduephodrang to contest in the fourth National Assembly elections later this year.
The party declared Nidup Gyelthsen, 38, as its candidate to contest for Draagteng-Langthil constituency in Trongsa. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce from the Royal Thimphu College. He is an entrepreneur.
He worked as an assistant human resource officer for Mangdechhu Hydropower Project Authority before venturing out as an entrepreneur. He founded and has been running Gyeltshen Bakery and Gyeltshen Incense.
Tashi Dorji will represent the party for Nyishog-Saephu constituency from Wangduephodrang.
The 38-year-old holds a Bachelor of Science in Information and Technology and an advanced diploma in multimedia studies with neuroscience and computer programming.
He worked as an Information Technology (IT) instructor at the Rigsum Institute of Technical and Management Studies, and Mathematics and IT teacher under the Ministry of Education.
He also contested for the gup’s post in the last local government elections.
With this, the party has declared 16 candidates so far to contest in the upcoming elections.
