If you’re one of the lucky winners, you could be driving home in an Isuzu D-MAX from Changlimithang after celebrating the 116th National Day on December 17.

This is just one of the many prizes planned for National Day celebrations.

Unlike previous celebrations, this year’s coordinators have arranged enticing prizes for various celebration venues and locations. The venue and time details will be available on the Bhutan App, allowing any Bhutanese, regardless of their location, to choose the nearest gathering to attend.

The main venue for the National Day celebration, Changlimithang, offers three exciting prizes for the lucky draw: an Isuzu D-MAX, a power tiller, and an electric scooter.

Participants entering the stadium will receive their tickets through the Bhutan App after their entry is scanned.

For celebrations at other locations in the country, there’s an opportunity to win various prizes, including a DCM truck, three iPhone 15, and three Samsung Galaxy phones at each location.

Bhutan Airlines will provide travel tickets for a five-person round trip from Paro to Gaya and back, while Druk Air will offer three-person round trip travel tickets for the same route or from Paro to Bangkok and back.

This year, an additional opportunity is open for Bhutanese living abroad.

The government is collaborating with various groups to hold National Day celebrations worldwide. Similar to the celebrations at Changlimithang, participants abroad will be scanned into their venues by the coordinators and become part of the lucky draw for the Bhutanese diaspora.

The draw for Bhutanese living abroad includes seysho or silk gho or kira with tego and wonju worth Nu 50 thousand, four Bhutanese-made jackets worth Nu 15,000 each, and gift hampers of Bhutanese food items worth Nu 15,000.

Even for those living abroad, Druk Air will sponsor two-person round trips from any places originating outside Paro, valid for one year, and Bhutan Airlines will sponsor two-person round trips valid for six months.
