… making to 44 candidates so far

Druk Thuendrel Tshogpa (DTT) announced three candidates from Dagana, Pemagatshel, and Wangdue yesterday.

The party declared Bishnulal Bhandari as Tashiding-Lhamoizingkha candidate from Dagana. 

The 36-year-old has a Bachelor of Commerce with a specialisation in finance from Royal Thimphu College in 2022. 

After completing high school in 2009, he obtained a diploma in information technology before joining the job market. 

He has a decade-long experience in the digital world and information technology by profession. 

He worked for five years as an IT technician with NGN Technology Pvt. Ltd before opening his own IT hardware firm, which he operated until he joined the party. 

Jambay Yeshey, 33, will represent DTT from Nganglam-Dechenling constituency in Pemagatshel.

He completed Commerce and Information Technology from of RVS (Rathnavel Subramaniam) College of Arts and Science in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, in 2014.

He is a local businessman operating a restaurant in his community. He also facilitates selling vegetables and livestock produce from many villages under his constituency, as part of his little service to his people.

He has contested twice for gup post in the local government elections.

The party has declared Nim Gyeltshen to represent Athang-Thoetsho constituency from Wangduephodrang.

The 38-year-old is a commerce graduate from St.Joseph’s College in North Point, Darjeeling.

He served as a teacher for five years before venturing into business. 

He contested as the candidate of Druk Phuensem Tshogpa in the 2018 National Assembly elections.  He has also contested in the fourth National Council elections.

With this, the party has declared 44 candidates, out of which six are female.

The party is yet to declare the three last candidates from the constituency from Chhoekhor-Tang constituency in Bumthang, Sombaykha constituency in Haa and Maenbi-Tsaenkhar constituency in Lhuenste.
