Chencho Dema

A mother and her daughter died when the helicopter they were travelling in crashed in Wachey, Lunana today at around 2:30pm. The pilot and two other passengers survived with injuries. 

According to the officials, locals of Wanchey have evacuated the pilot and two other passengers to a  hut and they are in stable condition. 

A rescue team from Lunana including the health assistant is on the way to Wachey. However, the team will take around 6 hours to reach Wachey. 

The cause of the crash is being investigated.
