High-Quality United FC (HQUFC) humbled Rinpung FC 7-0 at the Woochu Sports Arena in Paro, yesterday.

Snatching 13 points in the ongoing 2021 BoB Bhutan Premier League (BPL), HQUFC  are three points behind the defending champion Thimphu City FC and Paro FC. Transport United FC is two points ahead of them on the table.

High Quality surpassed the hosts on all fronts and cruised to a comfortable 3-0 lead in the first half.

HQUFC’s skipper and striker Lhendup Dorji went on to score a hat trick and Jigme Tshering, Sonam Tobgay, Kinley Gyeltshen and Pema Zangpo netted one each.

HQUFC’s Head Coach Lobzang said that his team performed well despite losing a player to a red card. Jigme Tshering will miss the next game. However, Lobzang said that the substitute player was equally good. “It won’t make much difference in the next match.”

Rinpung FC’s Head Coach Wangchuk said: “We lost many games. For the first 20 minutes, my players did well. I think fitness and experience counts a lot. We will practice more for the upcoming matches.”

As of yesterday, all teams played six games each.
