His Majesty The King arrived in Thimphu yesterday after a Royal tour of the south, and entered facility quarantine. 

During the tour which began on 25th November, His Majesty visited Wangduephodrang, Tsirang, Gelephu, Samtse, and Phuentsholing.  

His Majesty met with the trainees of the 47th batch De-Suung training programme in Tencholing (Wangdue Phodrang), Jigmeling (Sarpang), Pelrithang (Gelephu), Tendruk and Tashicholing (Samtse). His Majesty also met with de-suups working on the National Service Water Projects in Semjong and Paedtsheling in Tsirang, and Lingtey in Samtse. 



In Phuentsholing, His Majesty met with the Southern Covid-19 Task Force based here, and the Incident Management Team, which leads the different groups of frontline workers. His Majesty reminded the teams that as the situation with the pandemic remains uncertain, they must be prepared for every eventuality. His Majesty Commanded that meanwhile, every effort should be made to minimise the impact of Covid-19 related restrictions on the lives and livelihoods of the people.
