Lyonpo Chandra Bahadur Gurung, Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport, graced the inaugural ceremony of the Kuri-Gongrizomsa bridge on March 27.

The inaugural ceremony was also attended by dignitaries including the Mongar Dzongda, Mongar Lam Neten, and other officials.

Throughout the construction and launching process, all necessary rituals were performed on a daily basis in accordance with the guidance and instructions from the central monastic body to ensure the sanctity and auspiciousness of the bridge.

Kuri-Gongrizomsa bridge has a load carrying capacity of 40 metric tonnes (MT).

To maintain the structural integrity and safety of the bridge, all truckers are  advised to strictly adhere to the load restriction imposed.
