Karma’s journey began at the tender age of seven when he took on the sacred path of monkhood following the tragic loss of his mother during childbirth. Raised in a tumultuous environment, he and his siblings found solace within the monastic life, which ultimately proved to be a turning point that would shape his destiny forever.

On leaving monkhood and embarking on a new chapter in his life, Karma crossed paths with an angelic figure from Norway named Gru. Their chance encounter led to a remarkable transformation, with Gru becoming Karma’s adopted parent, offering unwavering support and encouragement in his pursuit of making a difference.

Now, a married man and a proud father of two, Karma manages multiple businesses, including a travel agency, to sustain himself and further his mission to help those less fortunate.

Karma’s philanthropic journey truly took flight in 2016 when he formed a team of like-minded individuals to reach out to those in retreat for years. Providing essential supplies and support, the team brought much-needed relief to many until the unforeseen challenges of the Covid-19 pandemic forced them to regroup.

Undeterred by adversity, Karma turned to the power of TikTok, where he rekindled his mission by assembling a new group of passionate individuals. Their collective commitment to create a better future for the less privileged and to foster a more compassionate society was the driving force behind numerous successful cleaning campaigns across Bhutan.

Through his unwavering benevolence, Karma opened doors to a shelter for wheelchair-bound individuals in Pamtsho, offering them a safe haven filled with love and care. Not content with just providing shelter, Karma and his team invested time and effort into providing training and empowerment opportunities to help those they assist regain self-sufficiency.

Karma’s determination to help others knows no bounds, as he even set up a tailoring shop for a man in a wheelchair, enabling him to become self-reliant and independent.

Fuelling their efforts further, an account called KiDophotography Vlog acts as a catalyst, connecting Karma’s team with those in dire need of help. Each case is thoroughly researched, ensuring that aid reaches the deserving hands, while follow-ups ensure sustained support for those who require it.

Karma’s resourcefulness in fundraising is nothing short of inspiring. Leveraging the reach of TikTok, he has managed to secure substantial funds that go directly towards assisting those in need. Additionally, hosting fundraising night parties and crafting ads for various businesses are just some of the creative avenues he explores to make a difference.

Raving about his dedicated team, Karma beams with pride, acknowledging their relentless willingness to help others. Their shared sense of purpose fuels his determination to continue making a positive impact in the lives of countless individuals.

With unwavering dedication, Karma and his team have already extended their helping hand to over 160 people in Bhutan, and their mission shows no sign of slowing down.
