The incumbent council member from Trongsa is through to the next round.
Tharchin was the lone candidate from Langthil gewog. He secured 343 yes and 43 no votes during the Dhamngoi zomdu in the gewog yesterday. The voter turnout was 386.
The zomdu in Trongsa began on March 2.
The dzongkhag has a candidate each from Drakteng and Nubi gewogs. The zomdu in Drakteng gewog will be held on March 12 while the zomdu for Nubi gewog is slated for March 14 and 15.
There were no candidates from the thromde and two gewogs of Korphu and Tangsibji. During the Dhamngoi Zomdu for Trongsa Throm, only 20 voters turned up. In Korphu, voter turnout was 80. About 150 voters came for the zomdu in Tangsibji.
