All five positive Covid-19 cases from Lhamoidzingkha drungkhag, Dagana have been declared recovered and will soon move home from Phuentsholing.

The drungkhag was re-graded to high risk-zone from a yellow zone since 16 January.

While the movement of people within drungkhag is allowed, vehicle movement is allowed after obtaining a permit and is restricted to only those in emergencies. People travelling out of the drungkhag need to undergo a seven-day mandatory quarantine and a rapid antigen test.

Drungpa Kinley Dorji said that the movement of vehicles will be allowed upon assessing the current situation.

More than 1,500 individuals including 80 primary contacts were tested for the virus since the first positive case was detected on December 21 last year. A total of 790 people were tested during mass community screening. Sports and other entertainment centres remain closed.

Except for barber, saloon, spa, snooker, and bars,  all business entities and institutions, are allowed to operate. Hotels and restaurants can serve only take-aways.

Meanwhile, the recovered patients are in the de-isolation unit in Phuentsholing currently. They will reach home after January 27.
