Machine break down hits areca nut plates’ production

With one of the machines broken, Pemathang gewog’s initiative in Samdrupjongkhar to produce areca nut plates is today unable to keep up with the demands.

Chairperson of the group, Pema Choden, 41, said the group couldn’t meet the demands because the machine broke down three months after its establishment.
