… police wait for forensic report to confirm the cause of death

Thimphu police are waiting for forensic results to determine the cause of the death of a 33-year-old man whose body was found near the Chubachu city bus stop on May 30.

Police said that the man was an employee of Taj Tashi and the body was handed over to the deceased’s family on the same day.

It is learnt that the man was a regular alcohol consumer but the police did not confirm it as the cause of his death yet. 

Police are expecting the forensic results today.

The police said that although the initial investigation did not find any evidence of foul play,  it is not ruled out until the forensic report is obtained.

According to police, the body was seen by a passerby who then informed police. The body was taken for a post-mortem at Jigme Dorji Wangchuck National Referral Hospital.
