The body of a 45-year old man, who went missing in Goenshari, Punakha on February 10, was found near Koma Tshachu yesterday.

The man was found yesterday afternoon.

The deceased reportedly went missing two days after his arrival in the gewog for a retreat.

He lived in Thimphu with his wife and three children.

According to local leaders, the man had come to Goentsephu Lhakhang for a retreat.

Kuensel learned that, before he disappeared, he was found taking a shortcut towards the Goenshari-Gasa road from the lhakhang.

“Some people had seen him taking the short way. Others spotted him near a bridge in the gewog,” a local leader said. “But no one knew him as he had just come from Thimphu.”
