People’s Democratic Party (PDP) declared Rinchen Khandu as its candidate of the Nganglam constituency in Pemagatshel. 

He obtained a BA in Language and Culture from Institute for Language and Cultural Studies in Semtokha in 2008 and a Post Graduate Diploma in Education from Paro College of Education.

The party stated that Rinchen Khandu is a dedicated educator and researcher. He started his career with secondary education at Sarpang Middle Secondary School.

Subsequently, he served as a school teacher for two years in remote schools of Rangtse and Sangbaykha Primary School in Haa. 

In 2013, he joined Paro College of Education as an assistant lecturer, nurturing the future educators of the nation. He is from the remote village of Rinchen Zor, Norbugang gewog.

With this, the party has declared 43 candidates and the party stated that it would announce the remaining four candidates in the next two weeks.
