About 160kg of imported green chillies were intercepted at the Mini Dry Port (MDP) in Phuentsholing today. The consignment belongs to a vegetable vendor based in Taba, Thimphu. 

The consignment was mixed with mushroom goods. The seized chillies have been destroyed. However, the vehicle has been released. The vegetable vendor could be liable for a fine of Nu 252,800.
