Prime Minister Dr Lotay Tshering met with the Union Power Secretary of India, Alok Kumar and his delegation yesterday. 

Prime Minister and Power Secretary discussed furthering alliances in areas such as solar energy and e-mobility to meet energy demands and keep pace with the changing global energy scenario. 

Both sides agreed to enhance collaboration in creating greater prosperity for the two countries by ensuring energy security, exploring collaboration in other renewable forms of energy, and resolving prevailing issues in the hydropower projects.

Prime Minister thanked the secretary for the Government of India’s support to Bhutan during the pandemic and assured that Bhutan will continue to work with India in fulfilling shared goals.
