- Home and cultural affairs minister Dawa Gyaltshen and Indian Ambassador Jaideep Sarkar inaugurated the new centre for Conservation of Cultural Heritage in Kawajangsa, Thimphu on June 18. The centre will house the Department of Culture and will be used for research on traditional construction materials and techniques. The Government of India provided Nu 77M for the construction of the centre.
