A group of South Korean artists known as ‘Air Bridge’ along with five Bhutanese artists are exhibiting their artworks in Thimphu. The Korean artists are visiting the country as a part of the South Korean government’s public diplomacy programme. The project aims to foster a deeper understanding of both cultures and pave a way for freer interaction between artistic communities from the two countries. The Korean artists will be teaching local students how to colour Korean storybooks, paint on t-shirts with Korean traditional patterns and crafting of sogo (a Korean traditional instrument) and traditional Korean fans at the Changjiji READ centre. The workshop starts today and will go until tomorrow.
