The Ambassador of Mongolia Gonchig Ganbold and the Regional Director of Asia and Pacific Programme at the International Institute for Democracy and Electoral Assistance (IDEA), Leena Rikkila Tamang, gave a talk on Mongolia’s transition to democracy at the Royal Thimphu College (RTC) yesterday. The hour-long interactive session took students through Mongolia’s past and present democratic system and how IDEA supports sustainable democracy worldwide through the sharing of comparative knowledge and experience in support of democracy. The talk was organised by RTC in line with their guest lecture series held every Wednesday.
