Information and communications minister DN Dhungyel awards certificates to 15 aspiring filmmakers comprising of cinematographers, film editors, assistant directors, actors, media lecturers from Sherubtse College and newcomers who attended an 18-day training on the art and craft of film directing, yesterday. Organised by the Department of Information and Media in collaboration with the Bhutan Film Association, the training covered professional production procedures from script analysis and director’s vision to visualisation process and script breakdown, to shot listing and storyboarding. The course also covered on-set protocols as practiced in professional film industries. The participants presented three short videos at the end of the course. Film writer and director Thukten Yeshi conducted the training.
