Tarayana Foundation, founded in 2003, has been at the forefront of driving holistic growth and development in remote rural villages, catering to the needs of destitute communities.

With a vision for a prosperous Bhutan, the Foundation’s efforts are set to gain even greater effectiveness in the foreseeable future, a press release from the foundation stated.

Under the visionary leadership and guidance of Her Majesty the Gyalyum Dorji Wangmo Wangchuck, the Foundation has emerged as a key organisation dedicated to the development of rural and impoverished villages across the country, according to the press release.

Recognising the significance of this noble cause, Tarayana has partnered with MTI Consulting to devise five strategic initiatives that will further empower the Foundation’s mission.

Expressing her profound gratitude, Her Majesty the Gyalyum extended appreciation to MTI Consulting for their valuable contribution to enhancing the efficiency and impact of Tarayana Foundation.

“MTI is renowned for its exceptional consulting work, benefiting not only Bhutan but the world at large. I am deeply grateful for their dedication,” said Her Majesty.

Following the initial stages of MTI’s 8S Model—Scope, Scan, and Sights—the Foundation has embraced five strategic initiatives recommended by MTI, identified as crucial areas of focus.

Under each initiative, MTI has provided the foundation with innovative solutions that can be implemented within the existing systems, augmenting the Foundation’s contributions to Bhutan.

Hilmy Cader, chief executive officer of MTI Consulting, commended the Foundation’s unwavering commitment to meeting the livelihood needs of the Bhutanese people.

Having worked in over 50 countries, Cader remarked that the presence of Tarayana in Bhutan is a true blessing. “MTI is honoured to have played a small part in supporting Tarayana.”

During the development of the strategic initiatives, the Foundation collaborated with numerous experts who offered their services on a pro-bono basis.

Since its inception, Tarayana has strived to bridge the gap between national initiatives and grassroots requirements. Now, with the technical assistance of MTI Consulting, the Foundation looks forward to delivering improved services to those in need.

MTI Consulting, an internationally-networked boutique management consultancy established in 1997, boasts an impressive track record of over 680 assignments in 51 countries. Their extensive experience spans various industries, clients, and complex business challenges.

Through their strategic partnership, Tarayana Foundation and MTI Consulting are poised to make significant strides in advancing rural development in Bhutan.
