Thrashes Paro United FC 4-0

Things are falling into place for the defending champions after recently suffering two consecutive defeats at home. 

Paro FC thrashed Paro United FC 4-0 in the ongoing BoB Bhutan Premier League (BPL) at the Woochu Sports Arena in Paro yesterday.

With the win, the Tigers (Paro FC) secured all the six points from two successive games without conceding any goals. 

Although both the teams started the game on a high note, Paro FC took the lead in the 25th minute from striker Phub Thinley’s goal following an assist from Chencho Gyeltshen.    

The defending champions dominated the second half of the game. Paro FC’s Kabi Raj Rai doubled the lead in 74th minute from a loose ball.  Mid-fielder Phurpa Wangchuk scored in 84th minute followed by Sampa Tshering’s finishing goal in the dying minutes of the match.

Paro FC completed 10 shots on target with five corner kicks against Paro United’s two shots on target and three corner kick opportunities in the entire match. 

With nine points from five games, the defending champions are currently in third place in the league. Thimphu City FC and Ugyen Academy FC lead the table with 10 points each as of yesterday. 

Tensung FC will host Ugyen Academy FC at MTC ground in Wangdue today.
