VAST Bhutan and Art United have joined forces to bridge the gap between traditional and contemporary art forms in Bhutan and to foster artistic unity in an exhibition.

Title “ART UNITED: A Contemporary Vision”, the exhibition opens to public today.

The partnership aims to empower artists to embrace their creative instincts, preserve cultural heritage, and create a platform for both traditional and contemporary art to flourish.

According to a press release from VAST Bhutan the exhibition marks a significant milestone as VAST celebrates 25 years of dedicated efforts in promoting contemporary artistic beauty and cultural diversity within the nation.

Founders Asha Kama of VAST Bhutan and Lopen Tshewang Tenzin of Art United share a vision of fostering the harmonious growth of these art forms and uniting them in a remarkable journey of artistic evolution.

This collaboration represents a symphony of artistic voices, with 16 artists of Art United showcasing their works. It offers a stage for artists to unveil their creations and magnify Bhutan’s artistic heritage on the global stage.

Her Royal Highness Princess Sonam Dechan Wangchuck was the Chief Guest at the inaugural ceremony.

The exhibition will be open to the public until October 18 at VAST Bhutan Centre, Chubachu and The Capital Hotel, Thimphu.
