Lhakpa Quendren

The voters across all Zhemgang constituencies overwhelmingly supported the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).

In Bardo-Trong, Lekey Dorji of PDP emerged victorious with a total of 4,656 votes. This included 2,415 votes from Electronic Voting Machines (EVM) and 2,241 from Postal Ballots (PB). On the other hand, Pema Dakpa from Bhutan Tendrel Party (BTP) secured 2,954 votes, comprising 1,512 EVM votes and 1,442 PB.

In the Panbang constituency, PDP’s Lungten Dorji triumphed with 3,716 votes, with 1,537 coming from PB. Dorji Cheten of BTP, his opponent, garnered 2,216 votes, including 1,051 PB.

Notably, Bardo-Trong witnessed a voter turnout of 7,610 out of the 12,080 registered voters, while Panbang had 5,932 voters out of the total 8,751 registered.
